Good decisions start with context.
How reviews, business profiles and moderation work on Truervw.
1. Find a business.
Search for a company or browse a category. Profiles bring together business information and published customer reviews. A listing does not mean Truervw endorses, recommends or has personally tested that business.
2. Share your own experience.
Create an account, verify your email address and write about a business you have personally experienced. Add a rating, a clear title, specific details and the date of your experience. You don't need to write a long review to be helpful.
Continue at your own pace.
You can start writing before you sign in. When you continue, your draft is kept privately while you sign in and verify your email. Up to five drafts can be held for up to 24 hours and are cleared when you successfully submit them.
3. Give the review useful context.
Reviews are submitted for moderation before publication. Moderators assess them against the same guidelines regardless of the rating. A verified email confirms access to an email address; it does not verify a purchase or every statement in a review.
How customer ratings work
A business's displayed rating is the arithmetic average of its published customer ratings, shown to one decimal place. The rating breakdown shows how many included reviews gave each star rating. Where a reviewer has multiple published reviews of the same business, the most recent published review contributes to the score.
Pending, rejected and deleted reviews do not contribute. Businesses without published customer reviews display “No reviews yet”. Historical editorial ratings and directory listing information are not customer reviews.
Mark a review as helpful
If a review gives you useful context, select Helpful. You need a signed-in, email-verified account. You can mark each review once and undo it; you cannot vote on your own review. Helpful votes are reset when a review is edited and do not change the business rating.
What a claimed profile means
A claimed profile has an approved business manager who can update information and reply to published reviews. Ownership approval is not an endorsement of the business or a guarantee of service quality.
What happens when there is a concern?
Signed-in, email-verified reviewers can report a specific review. Moderators assess the report; a report does not automatically remove a review. If a review, claim or report is rejected, its author can ask for another look through their account.
